Make the controls second nature.
You do not need to know how gears work before you start. Your instructor can introduce the clutch, biting point and smooth moving off in suitable conditions, then build towards busier roads. If you have already had lessons, talk through your experience so you can work on what actually needs attention.

Do I need any experience with gears?
No. Manual lessons can start from the controls, with clear explanations and practice before you move on to more demanding situations.
Can I switch from manual to automatic?
Ask Nida to check local automatic availability. A change of transmission or instructor needs to be agreed; it is not an automatic transfer.
